I know I don't update this regularly, but just think if you come here, you are likely to get as up to the minute information as you are if you went to BT... I know nobody is doing that but still, I'm just saying...

Stupid Weather Channel

I know this is common knowledge, but really? Watch the Weather Channel for a hurricane update, and you might as well be watching your own funeral. Flip to the local weather and they say the hurricane likely won't be coming towards Hilton Head, more towards Charleston or Myrtle Beach, or maybe out to sea. So watch Weather Channel if you wish to be scared, otherwise watch the local weather. Stupid, stupid Weather Channel.

Just Don't

The next time you read an article that you think is witty or revealing, and you want to share it with someone... If there is anyway it could be taken the wrong way.... just don't. Because it WILL be taken the wrong way...

It is what it is. Probably the single most true thing anyone ever told me. You can't make it up, or pretty it in any way, it is what it is. Yep...

Eating

I eat a banana a day, usually for lunch. I see they (Chiquita) have spiced up there stickers a bit. One says "Zero fat zero sodium." Well ok I guess, I mean I would hope so. It is kind of like buying a bag of potato chips and having them say "sugar free". I get it, but it is besides the point is it not?

They Are Coming

I can't help but look at what we are doing (getting ready to have my wife's brother and his family over for a short... less than a week stay) and wonder why we go through so much trouble. Everybody goes through it. The cleaning, the shampooing the carpets, the lawn has to look just so, everything has to look new, bright, clean, manicured... for what? So they can dirty it? I'm being facetious, but really why put yourself though it all? Still I do it just like everyone else... I'm so happy to see you... because our carpets needed cleaning anyway. Family, you have to love `em.
