Days of Thunder

It is days like today that I miss that stupid dog all the more. Thumper never would go into "freak out" mode because of a thunderstorm. Meanwhile, the dog that did not get munched on by an alligator, is a complete wacko when it rains. Which makes me question if that whole evolution thing is real. Because honestly, I would have thought that this fear or learned behavior would have died out by now...

A saying...

A man, much wiser than me once said "Never miss an opportunity to show the boss you're working." What did he mean by that? Well he meant to get caught, red handed, doing what you are paid to do. So with that said, off to work I go...

What is the Point?

Perusing the intra-webs and I notice something rather strange. People can't stay on the subject at hand. I know it is... human nature I guess. But if I want to say something is good or bad, I then give reasons why I think so, and let that be that. Maybe I offer up some new facts to support my opinion in a rebuttal. But some folks get so caught up in the ensuing "battle" they forget what it was they were fighting for in the first place (at least that is what it looks like to me). Sometimes I think we let this thing called the internet make a fool out of us all...

How About a 3-Day?

On top of all the other stuff that is going on in my life... I call my wife (who is at a conference in Myrtle Beach) and hand the phone over to my daughter (the Songbird) and what does she do? Throw-up (that is vomit) all over my phone, herself, and the carpet. Needless to say I now have a three day weekend... But I don't think I will be enjoying any of it.

So you see this article HERE... It tells me something I already knew. Zapp's potato chips are really, really good. Well thanks to a more global view of everything, Mardi Gras is near, and World Market has Zapp's...to celebrate the holiday and they are so very good...

Nothing Much to Play For

I'm just talking, from my point of view... neither team was playing for much of anything. Now I know, I'm a Saints fan, so my loyalties are a bit slanted, but both teams have won this thing before... and there wasn't that "oh we might get beat" factor that is a part of every Saints game ever. Congrats to the Packers, but it might as well have been the 42-10 Superbowl (Redskins beating the Broncos) that was rather boring. Well like I said, from this person's point of view. Maybe next year we will see more drama, if the Saints get there, I promise there won't be a minute where you won't be right at the edge of your seat. Onside kick to start off the second half anyone?
